The Envirothon is an environmental education program where local schools in Lackawanna and Wyoming Counties come to Keystone College each year to contend against each other in a battle of knowledge.  The winners of this competition then proceed to the state level, and finally those winners go to the nationals!

Each year school teams test their knowledge on the following subjects (click on the link to view more detail about each subject):

• Aquatics
• Forestry
• Soils
• Wildlife
• Current Issue - Water Stewardship in a Changing Environment

Additionally there is a current environmental issue, which changes annually.  This year's issue is Water Stewardship in a Changing Environment.  If you are interested in participating in the 2006 Envirothon, do not hesitate to contact your Conservation District.  This year's competition will be held on May 10, 2006.
